For years, our patients have enjoyed the ritual of pouring themselves a cup of Ancient Treasures Tea before or after a treatment. Its natural sweetness and unique blend of Chinese herbs help to calm the mind and relax the body. Ancient Treasures Tea was unavailable for several years during the covid pandemic, but we’re happy to finally be serving it in the clinic once again!
Plant Medicine
Ancient Treasures Tea doesn’t just taste great; it also makes you feel great. Its carefully crafted blend of Chinese herbs helps to calm the mind, improve circulation, support healthy hormone balance, boost the immune system, aid digestion and ease stress.
Let’s take a closer look at some of the ingredients in Ancient Treasures Tea and their unique properties.
Mulberry leaf (Sang Ye) and chrysanthemum flower (Ju Hua)
This is a classical Chinese combination to disperse excess wind and heat from the head and lungs, relieve headaches, benefit the eyes, and relieve coughing and wheezing.
Ming (Bo He) and cassia seeds (Jue Ming Zi)
These herbs clear excess heat, benefit the eyes, soothe the liver and relieve stress.
Dandelion (Pu Gong Ying)
Dandelion reduces inflammation, detoxifies, and has antibacterial and antiviral properties.
Hawthorn fruit (Shan Zha)
Hawthorn aids digestion, and has been shown to reduce blood pressure and cholesterol.
Lily bulb (Bai He) and chamomile flowers (Gan Ju)
Both herbs relieve stress, promote relaxation and aid sleep.
Licorice root (Gan Cao)
Licorice relieves spasms, alleviates pain, and harmonizes the properties of the other herbs in the formula. It’s natural sweetness. Its natural sweetness aids the digestion and gives Ancient Treasures Tea its delicious flavor!
Ancient Treasures Tea is free from caffeine, animal products, gluten, GMOs, antibiotics and growth hormones.

Enjoying a Cup of Tea
There’s more to tea than just the ingredients. Enjoying a cup of tea helps you slow down and clear your mind. There is healing in the ritual of pouring a serving, breathing in the steam as the heat from the cup warms your hands, closing your eyes and sipping slowly as you take in the complexity of the flavors. Tea is the healing power of nature distilled into a feast for the senses.
We’ll always have a pot of Ancient Treasures Tea brewing at the clinic, ready for you to savor. Be sure to arrive early if you want to enjoy a cup before your treatment. You’re also welcome to have some afterwards, to extend that feeling of that post-acupuncture bliss.
Enjoy Ancient Treasures Tea Anytime
You can enjoy Ancient Treasures tea at home too! You can purchase a pouch of 20 tea bags for $18, available at both clinic locations.
To prepare a cup of Ancient Treasures Tea at home, simply boil 1 cup of water, then place the tea bag in the water and steep for 5-10 minutes. Ancient Treasures Tea can be enjoyed with or without food. Because it’s naturally sweetened with licorice, it won’t cause fluctuations in blood sugar. And because it’s caffeine-free, it can be enjoyed in the evening and won’t keep you awake at night.
