Community Acupuncture

Feel better in a peaceful, shared healing space. Our community acupuncture treatments are deeply relaxing, highly effective, and tailored to your unique needs — all at a price you can afford.

Experience the healing power of acupuncture

Acupuncture has been used for thousands of years to promote health and restore balance to the body. Ultra-fine needles stimulate the flow of the body’s vital energy, and help improve circulation, relieve inflammation and reduce pain. At Encircle, we provide individualized care in a calming community room, where patients rest quietly in recliners with soft lighting and cozy blankets.

Our sliding scale pricing makes it easy to get the consistent care you need. Many patients leave feeling relaxed, recharged, and ready to face the day — some even take a nap during treatment!

Community Acupuncture Pricing:

First visit $50; return visits $25-$50 sliding scale (you decide what to pay, no questions asked).

Why Community Acupuncture?

At Encircle, we treat patients in a shared community room — a peaceful space where healing happens together.

This approach allows our licensed acupuncturists to care for multiple people at once, making treatments more affordable, accessible, and convenient.

It’s different from a traditional private-room setting, but many of our patients tell us they actually prefer it. Friends and family can come in together, the space feels calm and comforting, and there’s something powerful about resting alongside others on their own healing journey.

Community acupuncture isn’t just a practical model — it’s also deeply rooted in how acupuncture is traditionally practiced in many Asian cultures. We love that it reflects those origins while also helping us build a sense of connection, rest, and shared care. Because when people heal together, communities grow stronger.

How Community Acupuncture Works

How Community Acupuncture Works

Curious what it’s like to get acupuncture in a shared setting? Here's how it works at Encircle:

You’ll settle into a cozy recliner in our peaceful community treatment room — fully clothed, warmly covered with a blanket if you’d like, and surrounded by calm. Your acupuncturist will gently place needles in easily accessible areas: your arms, hands, lower legs, feet, ears, or head. No need to undress or lie on a treatment table — just get comfortable and relax.

We’re often asked how we treat things like back or hip pain without needling directly into those areas. The answer is distal acupuncture — a technique that uses points on the extremities to affect other parts of the body. Think of it like flipping a light switch on the wall — it’s comfortable, subtle, and highly effective.

Though others will be resting in the room with you, the environment stays quiet and serene. Recliners are spaced apart, white noise machines hum gently, and soft music creates a soothing backdrop.

Once your needles are placed, you’ll rest for as long as you like — most people stay between 30 minutes and an hour. We’ll quietly check in and remove your needles when you’re ready. No rush. No pressure. Just rest, relief, and care.

What to Expect at Your First Visit

1

A Conversation About You

Your first visit begins with a relaxed consultation with one of our licensed acupuncturists. We’ll ask what brings you in — whether it’s back pain, trouble sleeping, overwhelming stress, or simply curiosity — and learn what you hope to get out of treatment.

This isn’t a deep dive into your entire medical history or a lecture on how acupuncture works. Instead, we stay focused on your main concerns and how we can help you start feeling better.

2

A Personalized Treatment Plan

Based on your symptoms and our clinical experience, we’ll recommend a treatment plan that fits your needs. For some people, that means coming in weekly. For others, we may suggest a few visits close together to get the best results.

Because acupuncture works cumulatively, most patients need a series of treatments to see lasting change — and we’ll guide you through every step of the process.

3

Your First Treatment

After your consultation, you’ll head into our peaceful community room for your first acupuncture session.

You can choose any open recliner. Once you’re seated, just remove your shoes and socks, roll up your sleeves and pant legs, and get cozy. Your acupuncturist will check your pulse and gently place needles in your head, arms, and legs — a process that takes just a few minutes.

Then it’s time to relax. Most people rest quietly for 30–60 minutes. We’ll check in and remove your needles after about an hour — or sooner, if you’re ready. There’s no perfect amount of time to stay — you’ll find your rhythm as you go.

Frequently Asked Questions

What should I expect at my first visit?

Your first visit begins with a brief intake so we can understand your symptoms and goals. You’ll then settle into a recliner in our peaceful community room. Your practitioner will place a personalized set of acupuncture points, and you’ll rest quietly for about an hour. Many patients find it deeply relaxing — and some even nap!

Distal acupuncture means we place needles away from the area of pain — often in the arms, legs, or ears — to create a healing response elsewhere in the body. It’s incredibly effective and allows you to rest comfortably during treatment without needing to undress or expose painful areas.

Acupuncture is a process, and most conditions require a series of treatments to see lasting results. At your first visit, we’ll recommend a treatment plan based on your goals and how long you’ve had your symptoms. Chronic conditions usually take longer, while acute issues may respond more quickly.
