Soliman’s Auricular Allergy Technique

SAAT is a safe, simple ear acupuncture technique that treats a wide range of allergies

Finally, relief from stubborn allergies.

SAAT (Soliman's Auricular Allergy Technique) is a safe, simple ear acupuncture technique that treats a wide range of allergies — including environmental, food and pet allergies, and even alpha-gal syndrome.

SAAT uses a single, tiny needle placed in the ear that remains for 3–4 weeks to help retrain the body’s immune response. It’s remarkably effective for people who have struggled for years with allergy symptoms, especially those with multiple or severe sensitivities.

If you're tired of avoiding certain foods, struggling with seasonal triggers, or dealing with unexplained reactions, SAAT could offer the long-term relief you've been looking for.

SAAT pricing:

$250 for treatment of up to four allergens.

What is Soliman’s Auricular Allergy Technique?

SAAT is an innovative form of auricular (ear) acupuncture developed by Dr. Nader Soliman, MD. Unlike traditional allergy treatments that manage symptoms with medication, SAAT aims to retrain your immune system to stop overreacting to allergens.

  • One tiny needle is placed in the ear.
  • One treatment per allergen.
  • Three weeks of gentle, continuous stimulation to help reset your immune response.

SAAT has been used to treat food allergies, environmental allergies, sensitivities to toxins, and alpha-gal syndrome. It’s personalized, effective, and ideal for people looking for a holistic path to allergy relief.

Why Choose SAAT?

SAAT offers many benefits:

Long-Lasting Relief. Many patients experience long-term improvement with just one treatment per allergen.

Highly Personalized. We treat your specific allergies based on your body’s unique response.

Non-Pharmaceutical. It's ideal for those seeking natural care or looking to reduce medication use.

Minimally Invasive. Just one small needle stays gently taped in place for three weeks.

Is SAAT Right for You?

Is SAAT Right for You?

SAAT is a great option for people with:

  • Food allergies or intolerances
  • Environmental sensitivities such as dust, mold and pet dander
  • Seasonal triggers including pollen, trees and grasses
  • Alpha-gal syndrome
  • Chronic, unexplained allergic symptoms

While SAAT is safe for most people, it may not be recommended for those with certain medical conditions. We’ll always evaluate your individual situation to ensure it’s a good fit.

Note: SAAT should complement, not replace, the care you receive from your allergist or primary care provider.

SAAT and Alpha-Gal Syndrome

Alpha-gal syndrome is a growing concern, particularly in the southeastern U.S. Caused by a tick bite, this condition creates an allergy to mammalian meat such as beef, pork, or lamb. Reactions can include:

  • Skin rashes or hives
  • GI symptoms like nausea, diarrhea, or vomiting
  • welling, throat tightness, or even anaphylaxis
  • Delayed reactions (typically 3–6 hours after exposure)

Because symptoms can take hours to show up, alpha-gal is often missed or misdiagnosed. SAAT offers a promising option for reducing the body’s overreaction to the alpha-gal molecule and improving quality of life.

The Medical Acupuncture journal

A 2021 study published in Medical Acupuncture found that 96% of patients with alpha-gal who received SAAT reported long-term remission of symptoms.

Frequent Asked Questions

Will I feel the SAAT needle once it's placed?

No, during the three-week period when the semi-permanent needle stays in your ear, you shouldn't feel any discomfort. If you feel pain, irritation, or notice signs of infection at the needle site, remove the needle and contact us.

For best results, you should minimize your exposure to the allergen during the three-week treatment period.

Yes! We'll simply avoid needling the ear where your SAAT semi-permanent needles are placed.

SAAT is extremely safe and suitable for most patients. You should avoid getting the treated ear wet during the 3-week period (we’ll give you an ear cap to wear in the shower). You'll also need to remove any SAAT needles prior to an MRI scan.
